Church

Greg Kozak presents a talk on Church. The word “church” can mean many things from a building, to an assembly of worshipers, to an institution. This presentation discusses what “being church” means to Catholics and Christians today. It covers the existential aspects of modern human issues ranging from isolation, to control, to technology and science, and how each of these modern dynamics impacts us as humans who are built to relate to others. It explores the four “marks” of the Church: one, holy, catholic, apostolic, as well as how God interacts with peoples of all faiths. Building upon the concept of Sacrament from the talk on Sacraments: Introduction, it synthesizes the different “models” of church into a comprehensive vision of what it means to “be church” today.
