Marriage An exploration of why marriage is a sacrament, and how it is unique from other sacraments. Starting with a reflection on why we can have many friends but only one spouse, it moves on to look at the scriptural basis for marriage, and some of the challenges in the Scripture’s comments on divorce, and the Church’s views on annulments. It concludes with an examination of how matrimony is a special sacrament, different from the rest, and how it reflects our understanding of God and of Church. |
